Proof of Concept

Blockchain enables the coding of simple contracts, such as will and testaments that can be executed when specified conditions are met. Decentralising data means that wills can be distributed without being hacked or lost. There are enhanced methods for proving who you are, along with the possibility to digitalise personal documents which may be required alongside a will and testament.

WAT Coin aims to work alongside the current system as an alternative, more secure system for solicitors.

What is a Will & Testament?

A will and testament is a legal document where a person, known as the testator, expresses their wishes as to how their property is to be distributed when they pass away.

Blockchain is a revolutionary invention which allows digital information to be distributed, shared and reconciled, but never copied, corrupted or hacked. Blockchain data isn’t stored in any one location; records are public and easily verifiable to anyone on the internet.

Ethereum is an open-source, public, Blockchain-based distributed computing platform featuring smart contract functionality.

WAT Coin is a token that is used when creating, amending or signing a Will and Testament using the WAT system.

Stored Forever

Any amendments made to a Will & Testament are stored and viewable on the Blockchain.

More Efficient

The current paper based system is dated and very inefficient.

Tamper-proof

The nature of Blockchain technology ensures that a will and testament cannot be altered without digital verification.

Decentralised

Blockchain ensures that there are multiple copies of a document. So it is not stored in a single location.
